What a sad commentary on the Church

April Fools jokes are such that they are supposed to be make you something foolish.

Classic examples are "gene found that determines sense of humor: Germans don't have it," the Italian Spaghetti harvest, or "the French and English sides of the Channel Tunnel are going to miss each other; property taxes to increase to fix mess."

Things that make you feel foolish for believing them.

It is a sad commentary on the LDS church when people feel foolish for thinking that the Church is making a reasonable socially progressive step.


BTW, the "Germans Lack the Humor Gene" is my favorite April Fools joke of all time.
