That looks like a real physical threat to me.

If he worked at a real university, they would investigate.

There has been a challenge to the BYU accreditation authority on a related matter about toleration of members that have come to a different faith decision about Mormonism after having started their education at BYU.

Were BYU to ignore this behavior this would be evidence that the employees of the Church/BYU are allowed to threaten people that no longer have faith in Mormon leaders and Mormonism and express these opinions are targeted for violence by employees like Coach Atuaia.

He has seven kids with the former lead singer of the Jets! He has a lot invested in Mormonism and appears willing to impose his Mormonism on others.

He will either apologize on Monday or be fired on Tuesday. Idiot - from the team that had a brawl at the end of their last game. Yup, they sure are fine representatives of the Lard.

I thought Bronco Mendenhall tweeted this after another post just said coach. I thought Bronco wouldn't say something like that. He doesn't seem like the type to do that.

Offensive Line coach Garrett Tujague @coach2J supported Attuaia with a tweet that said,

"right their with you brother"

That makes two Church/BYU employees that have made violent threats to people that stood in opposition to the leadership during a solicited vote of support at the LDS Church conference.

Accreditation problems for BYU if that is allowed to occur without consequence. This football program has a violence problem.

If their accreditation isn't in jeopardy for lack of academic freedom, it should be for their lack of spelling ability.

He needs a lesson on there, their, they're. Oh well, he's just a coach; can't expect much.

If they don't want dissenting votes, then why do they ask?

Those two coaches are thugs. The Danites would be proud of them.

Wow, why even hold the vote? The church sets itself up for this. Don't hold a vote, if its really not a vote. Just throw your arm up in front of you and scream, "sieg heil"

Yes. They don't really want dissenting voices. Hence, conference tickets are passed out to the faithful by bishops. The vote is dramatrugical to make the whole church to appear to share belief. It's like testimony. "ALL of these people can't be wrong about the same thing."

"It's so obvious that these men are prophets chosen from god. Look even these thousands of people are in agreement."

The group that did the dissenting had to do some manipulation to get into the center. For example, their website called for people to send in their tickets so they could use them.

This should be brought to the attention of the NCAA (if they aren't already aware of it). It doesn't matter if this is a "university" sponsored by a religion, that "coach" is still promoting violence against the law. He should be fired, and BYU given a warning that any future tweetings by coaches like this will be met with the loss of the number of scholarships they can give out.

Tell him you're offended by Atuaia's comments representing "our" church.

Just got a message saying that I can't send more than 10 messages per hour. Either my mobile Chrome has a cookie problem or emailing this guy has been disabled somehow.

Coincidence?

It appears it has been disabled. I haven't sent any and got the same message "You cannot send more than 10 messages per hour. Please try again later" if you try to message the athletic director. If you try assistants, or Bronco M., those are still working.

A suggestion: forward the tweet to the enforcement division of the NCAA.
