Not a lot, and it won't last, of course, but I blame the Mormons in the ward building half a block away for their infernal praying for moisture.

My sympathies to everybody in the lower Great Lakes swath. I gather they got a lot.

Glad we're not there. I'm a fall and winter person, with all that entails, but even I'm over it by now.

It's pretty bad in El Paso today.

I lived in El Paso as a kid. My sister went back a little while ago, with her 6'6" son, and didn't even feel brave enough to get out of the car to take a picture of our old house - the neighborhood was that bad. Are some parts of El Paso still nice?

I meant the weather.

Sorry about that.

Central and southern Alberta got snow Saturday...up to a foot deep in some areas. The moisture is much needed. Hope there is more this week.

Glad for them. I just loathe the word moisture now.

I'm a farmer (retired)...we all talk about moisture, because most years we don't get enough.

Snow? Are you sure it isn't just board dander?

Sorry. 25th wedding anniversary trip. Though, I do swing both ways, so it might have been really fun!

LOL! I'll pass this time. I swing one way, so I'd be a stick in the mud. Have a blast - some day I'll have my turn, though it won't be any time soon. :)

We saved for 4 years for this trip. My girlfriend sent us in 2015 to an all-inclusive resort there. We'd never had a trip like that since all of our vacations had been camping. (That was all we could afford.) And, we fell in love. It is definitely worth the years of saving. CheapCarribean.com

Hopefully that will be the last of it, Cathy. I know I was ready for it to be gone.

Yep. We've already spent a ton of money on flowers and hanging baskets (which are sitting in the garage now). Bah! Bring on some warmth!

Oh, my poor daffodils. They were so full of hope, and now this.

My brother in Madison, WI, reported a 40 acre grass fire behind his house a couple of weeks ago, then the temp went up in the 70s, over the weekend they got a couple of inches of snow.

Said they had all four seasons of weather in a couple of days time.

Just what I DID NOT need right now. I only planted seeds for my flowers. I hope they'll be okay. Supposedly it will melt by this afternoon so I can walk my dogs. It is just too depressing. I don't even want snow for Christmas next year. I've had it with snow. I think my age is showing!!

Sequim, WA.

It's the driest place in Western WA, I live in a 'rain shadow' created by the Olympic Mountains. It's been pushing 70 lately, definitely close.

A one hour drive to Kingston Ferry + 30 minutes ferry ride puts me close to Seattle (there is now a direct passenger ferry to Seattle) where there's MLB, symphony, arts, etc etc etc.

Medical care here isn't up to Seattle convenience, but hey...

Just as Florida is referred to as "heaven's waiting room", Sequim is considered the PNW branch of that waiting room.

When my BIL was looking for a home there, he said there was always new inventory coming on the market daily. In the area where they live, they are considered the "kids" of the neighborhood because they're youngest ones there, early 60's.

for me, there's way too much Extreme weather in most of the rest of the U.S.:

Hurricanes,

Tornados

Extreme Hot/Cold in the other mid-west.

High altitudes/Elevations in the Rockies don't appeal to me.

$ wise, most of Western Wa has high surcharges on vehicle registration fees for transit, another PIA...

We're having a very late, damp, cold spring.

One day it's in the 30's. Today it's low 80's. (started in the high 30's this a.m.)

I'm still waiting for the ground to dry out so I can start my yardwork.

Our soil is clay here. Oya vey. Makes it hard to grow things, but I have a few perennials that have lasted. :)
