My wife and I are on a day out. After a hard day's shopping we have stopped off for a drink.

Pint of Guinness for my wife, pint of Make it Rain (Sixpoint Brewery) for me.

What will YOU drinking today?

PS tried a half pint of a very tasty ginger and chilli cider, too.

We are in a branch of Wetherspoon pubs.

Can't start taking nips whilst nannying, now can I? Dogsitting later doesn't have the same kind of constraints, so I'll either drink some wine or some Blue Moons. :)

Two nights ago, my son took me to Happy Hour (HE paid!!!) and I had a delicious Pinot Grigio called Mezzacorona. So, today after work, I'm on the hunt for a bottle of that deliciously perfumed, fruity nectar.

I've got a glass of moscato in my hand at the moment. I have some homemade cherry-clove mead waiting in the fridge... my boyfriend makes delicious meads!

Tea. Tetley's "thé corsé" (corsé meaning strong).

Milk, no sugar.

What my British family call "builders' tea".

Have a great weekend

I'm usually the designated driver if I go out drinking, because I don't, or rarely do.

Right now I'm having Diet A&W "ten" calories brew. That's the only beer for me.

I may cook with wine, but haven't in a long time. And I don't really miss it all that much. I make a nice beef stew though in wintertime, using a splash of red wine in the broth, and add cloves for an enticing aroma and extra punch.

Tea is another favorite drink of mine. It invigorates, and I enjoy it better than soda - at times.

Bottoms up!

Did you know you can also use beer in stew? Just pour in one can and enjoy the tang. I don't eat red meat anymore, but I used to like stew that way.

And pour the stew over a nice, cheesy polenta.

and your idea sounds divine, wcg. I used to like pouring stew over buttered bread (homemade if possible).

I miss you guys (and this thread) so much that I came here just because it's Friday!

Anyhoo. I probably shouldn't admit to this, but once I got home from work I poured Red Bull and vodka. Feeling nice. Have a great weekend!
