They did double duty in that photo op. A black child in a wheelchair. He couldn't pass up the opportunity to be condescending.
As to what he had to say, Yawn. Same shit different day. You'd think those poor kids are getting sick and tired of te adults yakking away about the adults problems. I always wonder how many kids go home and google the word porn. They want to know what it is, and why the adults are in such a tizzy. They find out, and now you have another mormon kids looking at porn online. Mormon leaders are so dense.

And insulated. They have to borrow other people's problems for their faith promotion. I guess Dieter used his own experiences with this one but only in analogy.
Nothing every changes. It's the same thing day in and day out like everyone needs to be told over and over:
"President Dieter F. Uchtdorf has simple, straightforward advice for young single adults: Keep the commandments, trust the Lord, and serve God and your fellowman."
What? Nobody remembers that advice? And avoid porn like it's a bad storm... They never heard of it before? That's all there is?

"Revelation" is in short supply, so they have to recycle old material :)
And even when he was merely ACTING president of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles, Packer would bitterly resent being called "Elder" Packer.
The purpose of the unwritten order of the priesthood is to give men like Packer something to know, that no one else knows, that they can despise other people for not knowing.
