This evening I drank some cheap lager. 25p a can, but still very refreshing.

Later I might have some vodka.

I'm tired as I was working until 4.45am covering the election count.

I got to bed at 5.30am, up again at 10 and in the office just before noon to write up election stories.

So, what are YOU drinking this Friday evening?

I do miss Timothy. Hope he and his lady are OK.

I have a Bitburger in my fridge that's going to go well with the cheeseburger I'm about to make.

Thank science it's Friday!

Cheers!

I’m enjoying some toasted coconut kona coffee my wife brought home with her when she returned from Hawaii yesterday. Mmm, mmm, yummy nummy! It totally makes up for leaving me at home alone to cook, clean, and chase after kids for a week. This yummy coffee totally redeems her. Yum.

Yum. I'll take some of that! There's nothing better than Kona coffee. My all time favorite.

Ditto that. I lived on the Big Island for several years and lived on Kona coffee. I truly miss it. Enjoy!

I'll have a frosty pilsner and maybe some amber ale tonight by the fire pit.

The weather is beautiful in Oregon, so tomorrow it will be pilsner and some Irish whiskey as we kayak the Nehalem river.

I decided to go for it tonight and I picked up a case of Smirnoff. It is the strawberry bellini flavored ones. Since I don't drink that much, I am going save the other five for later on since I have to work tomorrow.

So, that's small bottles of flavoured vodka rather than large bottles?

That sounds neat.

I am having a peach and Coke Zero and Stumbras vodka Simtmecio which comes with a stalk of wheat in it.

Smirnoff also does a line of malt beverages designed to get teenage girls drunk. I'm guessing that's what's in the case.

The bottles about the size of a glass beer bottle. It is a nice size for someone who doesn't drink but once in a blue moon. I put a couple bottles in the fridge to keep cold for when I want another one later on.

That's the stuff. Great for people who don't drink very often. In fact, it's probably also good for exmos who would like to try alcohol.

THAT was an exciting night. Worth staying up for. Not a commentary on the results, just that I love the "seismic" type occurrences in that field of human endeavour. Keeps them interesting.

I totally miss Timothy too. I hope things are going so great in his life that it's even worth missing the drinking threads. I'm glad you're keeping up the tradition, Matt.

Mine tonight is beer too - root beer that is.

Enjoy!

As long as you are cuddled up with the love of your life, anything is good to drink! ;o))

Interesting it gets cold and rainy in Cali.

Well it doesn't get cold and rainy as it does where you live

but when it does, I really love it Matt.

And you're right, when I'm with my love, its all good.

Coffee and Bailey's, or Khalua
Spanish coffee with cinnamon liquor...
If you have coconut syrup, that's yummy too.

Japanese Sencha tea. Love teas, especially matcha and green tea since my trip to the Orient last fall.

Just got off work and I'm having a couple of shots of Tarantula 100 reposado tequila for a nod to Cinco De Mayo this week. Next, peppers, onions, cilantro, chorizo, and ajo cooked in a black skillet for fajitas. Oh, then the homemade margaritas with Cointreau and Corralejo. Pricey but, it's only once a year.

If you'd started that with, "And it came to pass..." it would read better than any verse in mormon scripture.

Got home too late to post last night, at the event we attended, I enjoyed 2 Village Blacksmith Dark India Ale and Village Maiden Wheat Ale from a new Calgary brewery. Nice.
