Even though we have removed the more prescriptive language, the principles of the Honor Code remain the same," the tweet reads. "The Honor Code Office will handle questions that arise on a case by case basis. For example, since dating means different things to different people, the Honor Code Office will work with students individually."

In speaking with Honor Code Office Director Kevin Utt this afternoon, we've learned that there may have been some miscommunication as to what the Honor Code changes mean. Even though we have removed the more prescriptive language, the principles of the Honor Code remain the same.

In response to KSL.com's request for comment on students' social media posts, Carri Jenkins, a BYU spokeswoman, said, "as we have explained this afternoon, there may have been some miscommunication as to what the Honor Code changes mean. We have clarified that the principles of the Honor Code remain the same. BYU Honor Code administrators have met with students throughout the day and welcome the opportunity to further discuss the updated Honor Code."

It's good to see the students protesting the administration, I'm not sure anyone would have dared do that when I was at BYU.

Even so, I'm not one to believe that it's a desirable thing to be groveling or even protesting the LDS Church to move the dial just a bit, when you can break out of the Mormon prison and join organizations that are moving forward instead.

Yay. The Lord has allowed us to pretend to be a tiny bit more human! A few more revelations like this and we'll be nearly an eighth of the way there! Isn't Heavenly Father wonderful!

This tiny move has nothing to do with human decency or kindness. This is a move to make the straight students who are uncomfortable with the ugly BYU policies feel like they are still on the right side and alleviate the bifurcated feelings they are having.

Word games.

...he would have provided the means to do so!

Hey, are breast implants allowed at the Y?

Can students stuff a pair of socks in the crotch of their pants so as to signal what's really going on there?

Is that the sure sign of the nail or just some socks in your pants?

Is this because of the Ball Room Dancing competition thing?
