What other "religion" builds theaters they call temples to show a movie staring a naked couple and movie goers dress in costumes and repeat things at regular intervals?

Don't the Scientologists show some kind of movies too? This is just gossip because I've never been there or done that.

I don't think their movie(s) if they have one(s) are quite the cult classics LDS Inc. produces for living and dead audiences throughout space and throughout eternity.

Scientologists probably produce movies staring Tom Cruise showing how to couch jump yourself to clear but I don't think their screen plays are considered as sacred as LDS Inc. considers their holy screen play.

Lol..good one. Hadn't thought of the House of Handshakes as a glorified movie theatre. I use the term glorified very loosely here. Perhaps more appropriate to say, inglorious movie threatre. The morgue should sell concessions, i.e. holy pop corn, 7-up, etc. There is a money making opp there that they are not exploiting.

Remember that some temples still do the live actors for the whole endowment. I remember when they had the live actors in the Manti Temple in the early 60's. The films were added later.

And some theaters have live actors. You can see The Book of Mormon that way.

Back in the good old eighties, that flick was shown every Saturday night in old town Tempe.

Without fail, there was always a plethora of serious cult worshippers attending in full costume who would dutifully throw jelly beans at the screen during certain designated scenes.

A way more sensible lot than them kooky cojcold cultists . . . for the most part anyway.

I am shocked there are not more pirated copies of the movie out there.

With multiple hosting platforms, LDS movies will be uncontainable regardless of the legal teams that may attempt to squelch it.

The real damage will happen when real and trained theologians react and criticize the LDS temple film. LDS Inc will not be able to give a thoughtful response.
