I can't make up my mind up which is worse, a man who sometimes suspects he's got it wrong but lies about it or another who is so intransigent that he believes he never makes a mistake.
Packer was a coward. He never did go on national TV and answer questions, he never once stood as an apostle in a debate with other great thinkers who disagreed with him, never once risked the "slings and arrows" of those who would call him openly on his bullshit to his face. The man was uncompromising but his talks were always, ALWAYS given in front of throngs of adoring fans who thought he was a mix of God and rockstar. He surrounded himself with sycophantic boot likers because it fed his already poisoned ego.
"greatest threats to the church are homosexuality, feminism and intellectuals." These three are also the things that the conservative politicians fear most. He would have made a great politician on the 'right.'
