We are having a taste of early summer - temps in the higher 60s low 70s with blue sky and gorgeous smells and sights from the blossoming trees.

I shall be outside most of the day, covered in sunscreen, pootling about in the garden soaking up this lovely day.

More of the same tomorrow (hopefully) and best of all - I get the whole day to myself.

Just in case, I keep the brolly and wellies by the door as ever.

A day like this makes me feel so motivated.

Hugs to all - have a great day!

Though I regret my serving a mission in Britain, I fell in love with the country. The Welsh were particularly wonderful to me on a personal level.

It is now Saturday evening in South Korea. I hope you have a great day, too.

Its so wonderful to feel the warmth from the sun and see all the beautiful plants and flowers coming into their own.

Everything seems worthwhile. Getting up in the morning is easy and I don't have to spend the day preparing for tomorrow.

Thanks for putting this post on the board.

O, TO be in England
Now that April 's there,
And whoever wakes in England
Sees, some morning, unaware,
That the lowest boughs and the brushwood sheaf
Round the elm-tree bole are in tiny leaf,
While the chaffinch sings on the orchard bough
In England—now!

And after April, when May follows,
And the whitethroat builds, and all the swallows!
Hark, where my blossom'd pear-tree in the hedge
Leans to the field and scatters on the clover
Blossoms and dewdrops—at the bent spray's edge—
That 's the wise thrush; he sings each song twice over,
Lest you should think he never could recapture
The first fine careless rapture!
And though the fields look rough with hoary dew,
All will be gay when noontide wakes anew
The buttercups, the little children's dower
—Far brighter than this gaudy melon-flower!

Beautiful!

Beautiful here in N. California as well. The hills are green carpets and many pink cotton candy blossoms fill many wild plum and cherry trees. The oaks have pale green buds and the redwoods have the same shade of new growth from grownd to sky.

Our yard has been a gathering place for squirrels, quail, hungry deer, wild turkeys, and one gray kid fox.

One day lovely, sunny and usually breezy the next it's raining, hailing and sleeting. Still, the crocuses are out, the leaves are opening and the grass is greening. It's really nice while I am out walking and trying to prepare for Bloomsday. (If you don't hear from me in the second week of May you'll know Doomsday Hill did me in.) ;)

I'm sure other shires are just as nice in the Spring, but I've lived in those three.

you could join us in sipping iced tea and eating cream cakes at the bistro table on the lawn.

The smell of freshly mowed grass wafting around, the music of the birds. Lovely.

No better way to spend a lovely April day than working in the garden.

Looks like the shoe is on the other foot weather wise. After a triple-digit April 1st, Phoenix is chilly and wet this morning.

Enjoy your day Brig. Cheerio.

Loved, loved, loved England.

We were in the Midlands for three years. And oh the daffodils in spring!

23 C here on the Gulf Coast this morning.
