I read the above article and thought about how Mormon kids decide to be Mormon at the magical age of believing and boys to have some kind of organizational "authority" at 12.

These children had no clue about the consequences of their actions except that they might stop their abuse. The boy asked if he could bring his Nintendo with him to jail.

Now at 29 and 30 they have grown up within a hard system that has kept from "The World."

How like Mormonism this can be for former Mormons? You are a grown assed person and you may have never gone to a rated R movie! The "religion" you were in deemed you able to join at 8 and get some kind of authority to do stuff at 12 if you were male.
