For those interested,John Dominic Crossan, a noted Biblical scholar,will be lecturing tomorrow as part of the Sunstone Conference.His subject is the Kingdom Jesus compared with Mormon Jesus.It is at 7:00 at the Union Building at the U.He is a former priest who still considers himself a Christian of sorts although a very unorthodox one. Should be good. No charge.

I'm bent that I won't be able to attend (work) but I'm hoping that

there will be A/V or at least a future transcript. Both Ehrman

and Carrier are fond of his work and cite him in their own

publications. However, I believe both are in disagreement with his

conclusions, albeit, for different reasons.

I would strongly urge anyone interested in Biblical scholarship to attend. He is a very interesting man. His book, "The Dark Interval" was one of the best texts that I was introduced to in college, as part of a course on Jesus and the New Testament.

A few years ago I attended a two-day series featuring Crossan. He is well worth the time and effort to go hear him speak.
