Well, everyone knows how well the BOA translation went. Even Mormons don't want to talk about that "scripture" any more.

My guess is that the iPoop 2.0 stone must have lost it's charge by then.

Emma probably hid that rock from him in hopes that he'd stop the insanity. Nope, those damn scrolls showed up and the makings for another book was good to go. He just couldn't shut up. He just kept writing and writing. He had a lot of takers, and they were handing over money beyond his wildest dreams. Even Emma had to wonder if maybe he was onto something.

Joseph Smith said that he stopped using seer stones after the translation of the Book of Mormon because they hurt his eyes.

I'm surprised apologists haven't been shouting that as the reason why he failed at translating.
