So I got a letter on July 28th stating that the church considered my request to remove my name a local matter.

I have yet to hear anything from the local bishop or stake pres. Until saturday...when I got this email:

So apparently I am still on the member email list. Or I wonder if I am on a list of people who they need to bring back. I don't know. But the video is creepy/funny. Enjoy :)

Ignore the SP. You are out. His response confirms your request and that's sufficient . Congratulations.

Keep his letter as evidence.

Having been a Ward Clerk before, there is no simple process or method to remove a member from both the official membership lists AND the e-mail distribution lists held by many auxiliaries and members.

In fact I don't know that we ever bothered to clean up any e-mail distribution list. We figured if someone didn't want to get e-mnails they would tell us. The official ward list we did keep up to date, as much as we could anyway.

Yeah, I know that I am legally out and all that.

I was more just giving back ground. The real thing was this video. It's creepy. He never looks at the camera.

Someone on another site asked me if he ever looked at me when giving me a temple recommend. :)

Hey, I grew up in the Centreville Stake! Back then, it was called the Fairfax Stake even though the stake center was in Manassas. I remember when they split the Manassas Ward and then the 2nd Ward barely had any people.

Wow. His dynamic manner really makes me want to attend. NOT.

He drones just like those boring GAs at conference time.

I get that old "contrived" feeling again. Everyone will go away talking about the wonderful new suit the emperor has and all will say how "awesome" it was. I get tired of that word, awesome.

If the GAs / other Mormon leaders would just RELAX and not be so Up Tight about EVERYTHING (focus on numbers, etc) fewer ppl would RESIGN.

I received several "robocalls" after I resigned and the last time it happened I called the number back and a male answered and I told the man to remove me from the call list...and he did.

Wow, between the music and his distant gaze, that's one creepy video. He comes off like Warren Jeff's long-lost brother.

Our SP drives by and literally stink eyes my husband and I. Last month he couldn't stay fastened in his car seat to waive hello and almost head planting it in the road. We are more local about their disrespect, the old ones take it personally. Like it wasn't them knocking on my door! Maybe I should show up on their property.. Unannounced!

That's exactly what I heard, Warren Jeffs. He had the same tone and Utah accent. He tried so hard to sound spiritual.

I totally want to go because he said my house would be filled with blessings from the Lord if I attended. How could you miss that?
