A Frenchman has just been called as the new Presiding Bishop.

Bishop Causse represents the dozens of faithful members residing in France.

The most diverse appointment since Uchtdorf! Truly historic.

Leave it to these morons to lose the world-wide audience and then call a foreigner to a leadership position.

I don't think it is a big deal. He was already privy to all the financial information that goes on in TSCC. He was previously one of the two counselors in the presiding bishopric.

How is that Paris France temple coming along?

Wow! He really is diverse. He actually has no initial in his published name. This is revolutionary! I'm sorry to note that the poor guy has no hope of further advancement, though. Unless he goes out and gets himself a nice initial right away.

At least he's better looking than most of his cronies.

If he's a true Frenchman he'll have a mistress, yes?

A pretty decent fellow.

Definitely a financial/real estate guy, though. Not a theologian or historian.

Gérald Caussé is just as Latin as Pope Francis. So white, but not super white.

I'm surprised they would let someone outside of Utah handle the checkbook? This could be a good sign, maybe a little less ridiculous spending on monstrosities in Salt Lake. A little more attention on the rest of the world?

I can hear him now:

"Let them eat cake!"

I wonder if this means that Cultco. will now buy the largest vineyard and foie gras operations as money making entities.

So?? Being a nevermo, but having followed this board for 10+ years, I've never heard of a "presiding bishop." What does he do? Does he have any power? Has a presiding bishop ever made it to the Big 15?

Essentially asset managers for the church, including food and real estate.

And we're having this conversation because the last Presiding Bishop did indeed become an apostle.

There's an apostle named Gary? Isn't that a cat's name?

Yes, but they named the cat after the bishop, not the bishop after the cat.

I guess I don't know already. I just assumed that since Cultco. and its' dupes are such super patriotic Merucans that they wouldn't do business with those limp wristed philosophizing French. I though they would have expanded their porno enterprises first.

I guess on second thought a dollar is a euro is a pound and if Cultco can make any of them they will do whatever, wherever and with whomever.

I'm glad somebody else caught the "dozens" as well. I thought it was pretty good. At the current rate of decline, in a couple of weeks, it may have to be changed to remove the s from dozens.

this fraunch guy and Otterson(English) and Uctdorf (German) should fight each other..... to the death, because that is just the natural order of things between Europeans as established for hundreds of years, besides I heard a church talk by Sterling W. Sill where he talked about how great and inspiring it was that a bunch of English men invaded France and then managed to overcome great odds to kill a whole bunch of French men in the ongoing spat that France and England had going for several hundred years. Sill was a GA, so what ever he says has to be correct.

French accountants run under a very different ethical standards than US ones.

Let's just say they are more liberal with their G.A.P.
