I opened my eyes during Mormon prayers. I was surprised at how many others did the same.

I did.

1. I thought maybe some secret knowledge was shown. There wasn't.

2. I'm an insomniac and rarely sleep anyway.

3. I always wanted to blurt out "my rib is missing!"

Usually, DH was asleep! I always felt anxious watching him to see if he'd stand up on time. He would, but lots of stretching and yawning was involved. Lol

Whenever directed by the pastor to bow head and close eyes, I lift my head and open my eyes. Ditto for directions to say "amen" unless I feel like it. Spiritual decisions should come from within, not at someone else's direction.

That's when I passed wind. I figured nobody would see my face change a little bit as I stunk up the place. Hehe!

Didn't close my eyes.

Sometimes I didn't even bother to recite the promise for the secret name they gave me in the beginning when getting the names and signs.

If you ever forgot the name, you just listen to the guy before you give the name at the veil.

No stress.
