I'm really wanting my new relationship with Heavenly Mother to move forward.

I get that it might be moving a little fast, but I just needed to feel pretty for her.

So I went to the grocery store and picked up some lipstick. I am not sure if that was the best place to get it, but I was also trying to consolidate my errands so I could be home in time to cook dinner for heavenly mother.

She is happy to have the break, and I know she's still going through a grief process.

I didn't know what color to get because I still don't know what her favorite color is - I'll have to ask her - so I got deep purple because they were also a pretty awesome band.

I want to look good. I need it to feel good because then heavenly mother will love me. And if she loves me, I can be happy.

Elder Ballard would be so proud of you, RJ!

R.J., next time, for longer lasting color, purchase lip stain (although be careful with the application or you'll look like Courtney Love-yester year). For added sparkle and that "come hither" look, finish with a wand of glistening gloss. Bam! No longer a sweet spirit. (You're welcome.)

=)

I wore lipstick today too.

It didn't seem to help.

Oink!

Just a wee sweep of mascara would help bring out those beautiful eyes... just a thought.

Don't forget to curl the lashes, too!

I found this satire. I hope you enjoy. Seems in line with mormonism.

Awhile back I knew a nurse that had her lips permanently tattooed a lipstick color. She was trying to sell it to the rest of our wimmins staff, i.e. "permanent makeup" she called it. Anyway, if you was to impress heavenly mommy..get the el' permo makeup. She will be like, "oh dude you da bomb...why couldn't eloheim ever give me stuff like dat."

Mormons aren't that accepting of tattoos.

Yes, permanent tattoo are highly accepted in the female mormon population. You just can't tell they are tattoos. Many of the women I work with brag that they've had it done and have given me names so I can do it, too.

It IS fall and the 90s are making a comeback, so your choice was right on point or fleek or whatever the kids are saying these days.

You could be seasonally appropriate, fashionably edgy AND ponder the greater mysteries of the Divine by wearing deep red or black for a Gothic look.

The black eyeliner takes practice, but you'll get there. Use a foundation one shade lighter than your skin tone. No blush. And if you just can't worship in something other than a white shirt, a 1700s poet shirt would be a lovely choice. Pair it with black boots and a cape.

One of New York's attorney generals had eyeliner surgically implanted to his eyelids, and then black lashes to make his blue eyes stand out more.

These guys tend to be the ultimate narcissists.

That same attorney general, when as governor of New York, was caught getting it on with high class prostitutes while wearing nothing but his socks. He insisted on those socks, and *no* condoms.

He was the same AG who used to gloat over bringing down prostitution rings as attorney general.

Perhaps there's a genetic link connecting him to Horny Joe?

When the news hit the fans, his teenage daughters and his wife fled the house for days, if not weeks. Didn't want to live under the same roof, as their dad, the perv. Also cost him the governorship, oh well. Such is the life of a seedy politician.

I recommend MAC lipsticks--a little pricey but worth it.

Methinks an apron with nothing else will do the trick better than lipstick.

Deep purple is a good color. The moody blues are good hues too.

I'm a woman who doesn't believe in lipstick. I don't own it. I don't wear it. Think of the savings????

I just don't like it.
