Sounds like they're getting ready to publish some ExMo stories.
Might be a wake up call for other Mormons.

Nopeā€¦not gonna do it.
The word "crisis" suggests something horrible. I became better informed & educated and grew away from church teachings.
It was a good thing. Can't call it a crisis.

If the Trib asked the questions they should have asked maybe I would help with their survey.

I made comments and made sure I spun the "crisis" into something positive and empowering. And I explained that the crisis is an intentional fabrication of the LDS church.

I submitted a few thoughts... you know, very low key, like a pass-along card. I gave my EOD name and email, etc.

In less than ten minutes I got an email from a 'lady' sounding name, thanking me and letting me know that someone might be in touch with me to follow up.

Reading between the lines, which we men can do so well, I understood that she was trying to get authority to fly me up to SLC to help them destroy the church. Of course I will have to put it off until SL & Utah counties are well into golf weather.

So you people reading this for the church, I just gave you a coupe of extra months. Use them wisely.

I did not experience a crisis when my faith in the LDS religion withered away to dust.

I have gone through a crisis, but I don't think of it as a crisis of faith, feels more like a Crisis of Deception, of having lived a lie for more than 50 years, of having given freely of myself, my money, and a mission, for what? Lies. And I have taught my children lies.

Sometimes, less frequently now, I go through a crisis, and it seems more like PTSD.

Many of the comments are turning the question around -- it's the church that's having a crisis, not the members.

I answered the questions, explaining that I never had any faith to put in crisis anyway.

Whatever happened to in depth investigative reporting. The Tribune, if they truly had the balls could write a series of articles that prove TSCC is false. They don't need ex-members who no doubt will have TBM's using the same argument that we have been misguided by anti, etc., etc.,

But to have a major city newspaper use it's investigative resources, using indisputable evidence (and we know there's piles of that) would give this story so much more creditability.

Otherwise it's just around the mulberry tree we go again.

I think it's like asking someone if they are having a Crisis of Love when they find out that their spouse has lied to them, cheated, used them, and stolen their money.

That is a very valid comparison. I agree.
