After my baptism (a few days later) I stole some food from our fridge (cardinal sin for my mother) and ate it. I felt so bad about it I cursed God to strike me dead for washing my sins away to have them so easily replaced.

Some kind of religion when a kid is racked with guilt over that kind of thing.

I took my girl friend out on a date for my eighth birthday. I was not baptized---wait, I was as a baby. I remember the date of my eight birthday well. I still have a place in my heart for Patty.
