I don't know much about this site. It looks like reformed Mormonism or maybe mildly apologetic. Either way, I like a visual representation of number trends. I think his number on resignations may be low, but it still makes my little heart happy. :)

Lowest membership growth rate ever, and getting worse.

One thing that isn't reflected in these charts is the growing and cumulative dis-satisfaction level of the members. Before the Berlin wall came down (for those of us who remember) Soviet communism was spreading further accross Europe and other parts of the world at an alarming rate. Then it all collapsed, almost all at once. Like communism, mormonism is not sustainable beyond a certain size.

What I noticed was in the graph titled "Deaths, Excommunications, Resignations", there is no 'key' as to which color bar in the graph corresponds to which category.

In the text it says deaths are orange, resignations/ex's are blue

The guy certainly runs an interesting site, and it's actually kind of refreshing to see someone discuss issues in a way that tries to mediate between nonbelief an apologetics. When I read his personal history, though, his explanation for deciding to go back to mormonism pretty much read as 'fuck it, there's beauty in religion even if it's bullshit, so might as well turn up the volume on my metaphorical headphones'.
