OT - PK was CK last night

I invited a gay couple I know over for dinner last night.

I used my mom's mostly UNused Noritake china.

One of the gays is Jewish, and he brought zuhausegemachtige Matzah ball soup. It was Passover appropriate, and very, very lekker.

I served salade Kitoise, home-made beef & curry pies, baked asparagus. The pies brought raves.

I served Mochi icecream balls for dessert.

To brag, it was a really nice evening. As a result, I'm now also called "ChefKen." I'm not up to the expertise of say, Wine Country Girl. But I'm just a little bit closer.

This morning, when I went down to clean up the kitchen & dining room, I noticed that all the raves had left.

Okay, next time I'm in SoCal, you can cook for me. I'll bring the wine.
