in the church, women are responsible for the thoughts of men. If they don't dress modestly or are too attractive then it's their fault that men lust after them. It's their fault if men can't control themselves.
I think you`re right. Possible people are taught be odbedient or ______ happens (like no temple recomend, no social place within group of lds, and no place in celextial kingdom)
Just like be in rain coat, be under umbrella, be in porch when it rains or you get wet.
So when any event happens , the person habitually conditioned to think.. there is an obedience to a commandment I must have miscomplied or not obeyed insufficiently for this event to happen.
Name anything from tumor, blood loss, car accidnt, tooth pain, sunlight in eyes when you drive to scratches on your glasses. Anything goes when its an event, one is habiltualy taught to keep it uppermost thought obedience could prevent it (death included) fate and destiny need not apply.
TBMs often go beyond scorn and seem amused by the misfortune of others. It is a form of sadism that makes them feel superior to those that are suffering. The non-suffering TBM is more righteous and more blessed thus they gloat.
