It isn't just mormon parents who limit children's friendships...

...based on religion. Here's a child who is excluded because her parents are athiests:

Amy begins her response with a comment that seems like she cannot believe such a thing could happen. She says to double-check to make sure her daughter heard right.

The same reasoning (or lack thereof) that lets some "christians" shun gays, Catholics (if they're protestant), Muslims, etc. applies to atheists. "They might be a bad influence."

Hey, christian parent -- YOU are the "bad influence."
