Nope. At least years ago this is how I remember it...
The temple worker who stands by you as you prepare to "enter through the veil" lifts a mallet from the doorframe and taps the door frame three times.
They have this goofy fabric shower curtain thing with slits cut into it to do the secret handshakes with the clown playing god on the other side.
When you have carefully provided the verbiage to pseudo-god (Health in the navel marrow in the bones, blah blah) and given god the right handshake, they pull the curtain aside so you can enter the CK (which strangely looks like granny's living room on steroids).
Is that how others remember it?
It's all so laughably stupid as I look back on all those times I attended thinking I was so special!
That's exactly how I remember it. In the future Cyber version, you will left click 3 times and then copy-and-paste the verbiage while doing the secret handshake on yourself.
The way the mishies did it in Japan. You slide the screen-type door a little and holler "Moshi Moshi." Wouldn't it be fun to be a veil worker and do that so someone instead of knocking three times.
