Babycenter poster asks if she can be ex'd without her knowledge...

Interesting that one poster thinks that name removal is the same as excommunication...

That being said, I do wonder if the church actually would help pay for attorney's fees in a child custody case.

They are required, according to policy, to send a letter inviting the member to attend a Disciplinary Court. I suppose someone could be exed without their knowledge, but I don't think it's policy.

I don't know of any specific case that the LDS Church helped pay for attorney's fees in a child custody case. It could happen, though, I suppose. Again, I don't think it's church policy.

They are supposed to send out notices of diciplinary council and excomunication, per thier own policy. But I have never seen the notices sent certified mail or anything like that so I suppose they could get lost or misdirected and noone would be the wiser.

I doubt they would pay for an attorney, but I could be mistaken. The morg rarely surprises me anymore.

My summons arrived as certified mail; however, the letter telling me I was exed was not certified. But, then, I was not

told in advance that there would be a luv court held in my honor/horror. They were chicken livers and too scared to call me in prior to any court being held. Cluck! Cluck!

It seems to me that the poster's ex-husband is a ....

lying sack of sh!t. She claims in her BBC post that he's told lies about her. Why would she turn around and give him any credence now?
