Death Penalty for Gays Bill Defeated in Uganda

I am posting on this topic with the links below, because several right-wing religious organizations in the U.S., including (if memory serves) the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, actually were backing this hideous legislation. And, in eighteen months when the Ugandan parliament comes back into session, this bill could come up again.

Iraq, my son-in-law who served in Iraq told us the the men engage in sex with each other

But that doesn’t mean they are homosexual, only the men who shave and act effeminate are gay.

Apparently having anal sex is OK, as long as you're not gay.

It's good news that they defeated the bill,

but tragic that they're bringing it up again in six months. I wish people could stop demonizing others.
