For an article on spells of Witchery, I need clarification of a detail of this reported plan by some coven(s) to cast the famous Evil Eye on POTUS.

Could one or more of you people set me straight re the ritual sequence when conducting this Spell?

Does the actual spell-casting ceremony proceed or follow your regular osculation of Stan's arse? Thnx.

"At the stroke of midnight on Friday, followers of witchcraft across the US performed a mass spell designed to remove the president from office.

A Facebook group devoted to the ritual has attracted over 10,500 likes, and coined the hashtag #magicresistance.

The development has sparked fury among Christian conservatives, who have accused the witches of “declaring spiritual war”."

Which witch?

It looks like they're finally getting even for Salem.

There were no witches at Salem. There were innocent citizens who were the victims of the worst of human impulses. Could it happen again? It happens all the time. It is why a man can walk into pizza parlor and start shooting. It is why Jewish cemeteries get destroyed. It is why a person feels justified in shooting two Indian engineers. I repeat: there were no witches at Salem.

Before Salem there were a few other witch trials in the colonies. In Connecticut, for example, the first witch was executed. The magistrate was the progenitor of Daniel H. Wells who, by the way, in 1839 was on the jury which convicted Lincoln's client of murder and dictated death by hanging in Carthage.

There is no doubt it will work. It just may take 8 years.

Closer to 100 days.

If they form a human chain, it may work faster than the eight years.

These appear to be "good" witches.

allegedly, groups of christians were having a 'prayer session' at the same time to counteract the actions of the would-be practitioners of the 'craft'.

They were only doing a 'binding' spell which was apparently only to prevent a person doing harm to themselves or others, and would also prevent their associates from helping them to bring harm to themselves or others.

A 'binding' spell is what a wiccan or other witch might do to another witch to 'keep them safe', or prevent them using their 'power', if they were unable to control the same 'power' or use it 'wisely' but then, who gets to define safe or wise?

A wiccan would not do anything they felt was dangerous or spiteful as they believe it will come back on them 3-fold. Non-wiccans might just do as they please and not bother about 3-fold returns of their 'magikal' practice; their 'will' is their ultimate authority.

Whether or not either side (magic or prayer: witches or christians) could claim it had worked? Well, once again in life, it is all down to definitions and nothing will be 'defined' without the benefit of hindsight.

Fundie christians see the use of 'dark acts' on Trump and think this proves that we are in the last days and stan is running free and wild because he knows his time is short.

What a joy the world is right now.

It's really not all that different than saying a prayer or any other of numerous "acceptable" versions of pleading to the gods. How is it any different than lighting candles for the dead or praying to a saint to intervene on your behalf?

A binding spell is not a harmful one and is intended to prevent more harm from coming from the selected party. If they had made orange coloured poppets and stabbing them with pins while spitting on and cursing them, it might be a harmful spell.

For the OP, you start from the common misconception that witches are in league with Satan. That's a Xtian slander and an Xtian creation, there is no devil in most pagan paths. Also, it's very easy to buy your very own book on how to conduct a binding ritual, it's not a particularly involved spell that requires exotic ingredients.

I especially enjoy the Xtian "mystic" woman holding a mirror to "reverse" the spell, because that's not practicing witchcraft, lol, and perfectly ok according to the bible, you know where it says that witches are meant to be spared from death and all that.
