If there is a God, and if he happened by, as one of us, he would (in my opinion) have come to us...as Herb Alpert.

Here is a man whose sound I never grow weary of. His decent, gentle nature got him paired (no, welded) with the greatest female of his era.

Lani Hall: singing a song...about God?

Herb made possible the gem called...The Carpenters. (hint?)

He made the best music.

He enjoyed the finest life.

To me, Herb is god, in very poor camouflage.

If god sang the world a song, would it not be called, "This guy's in love with you"?

And if he ever took top position by the work of his mind, mouth and hands, would it not be named, "RISE"?

The most comforting thing of all, as I see it, if Herb Alpert is God, we have plenty of good times ahead, just for having lived, which is heroic.

If god made us a video would it not contain this good news, really?

Study it well:

But..."god" didn't make that video. Humans did.

At least we agree on something...Herb rocks.
I grew up with parents playing his albums, and I never tired of them.

Love HA and the TJB. Bought all their albums. Played them lots on my stereo in my Ricks dorm room. Good times. Good tunes.

The fight was fixed
The poor stay poor
The rich get rich
That's how it goes
Everybody knows

I totally approve of this message by SonOfLaban!

I also grew up listening to the sounds of HA&TTB as my Dad was a fan...and then subsequently myself.

Then later finding out how much of a role he played in some of the best music ever produced during the 60's & 70's...such a brilliant talented musician and true gentleman!

And growing up Mormon...who could ever forget what a provocative Album Cover this was to young adolescent males...

Or so it seems to me...

I am pleased that others see that god is Herb Alpert. My next theory is that if he is, then the Travelling Wilburys are his chosen Apostles.

For those who have eyes to see: The Lord's Apostles would gather and make history. This would occur by spouting truth, one line at a time. Believers would be identified by at least one foot tapping. The cares of the world fade as the music of truth becomes fantastic.

Get it? Got it? Good.

I agree, when Herb aplert was going along with A&M records and he did a bunch of Bacharach, which Karen and Richard recorded a lot of. It was a heveanly time for music

The world is chalk-full of talent. Most of it is forgotten too soon. My soul is adorned with music more beautiful than the walls of any mansion.

What if God was one of us?

So... I saw Herb Apert once and it was, in all places, in Orem at Osmond Studios. Lani Hall filmed the video with him for the title track of her album *Es fácil amar* and I was an extra in the concert footage.
