The Quorum of the Twelve Apostale are currently discussing the ramifications of adding new questions to the Temple Recommend interviews by Bishops and Stake Presidents. Most likely the questions will be approved.

Let me guess, the questions will be about internet use.

Do you now, or have you ever fantasized about stipends, or have you dwelt upon church positions above that of Usher?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayGbrgdVwIQ

Have you ever re-watched a video or podcast of John Dehlin?

If Jesus were to come tomorrow, and you saw Him whispering something into my ear about you, what would He say that you had hid from me?

Who or what do you think about when lapses of morality occur?

Have you ever left a restroom without first scrubbing your hands thoroughly?

If your worst thought of each day were like a neon sign above your head, would you

a) check out the cost of a frontal lobotomy
b) pray for global blindness
c) keep a can of black spray paint near you
d) repent, and never think again

Finally, did you have anything to do with the murder of Chuck Berry?

1.Do you show up for your scheduled janitorial time?
2.Do you clean any and all areas of any church building at anytime, no matter the inconvenience?
3.Do you put church before family?

Do you pay your tithing as

A. Net
B. Gross
C. 'I pay ten percent of what I HOPE to earn someday!'

Wait, they already have a tithing question. Maybe they'll just amend it...

"do you lust after women's shoulders?"
"do you find South Park funny?"
"do you think that Brigham Young was an asshole?"

Thanks in advance.

"Did you vote for 45 for president?"

Don Peay says you should be repentant if you didn't.

In the grocery store, do you walk down the coffee isle for the sinful smell?

Are you awake during church meetings?

Do you actually watch General Conference?

Have you shopped at City Creek recently?

Do you only ask church approved questions?

Have you ever compared the Old Ship Zion to the Titanic?

I went through temple recommend interviews for the last time about five years ago. (And I swore in my wrath NEVER to go through that again. Promise kept.)

During the interviews, I was surprised that BOTH the bishop AND the stake president asked if I viewed pornography on-line.

If this was not one of the official questions yet, it was certainly a question that they had been instructed to ask (by the Area presidency or whatever). I doubt that BOTH of them would have come up with such an embarassing question for their own private fun.

I don't know if ladies get asked the same question. (Maybe not. After all, in Mormondom women are ethereal beings who have no interest in sex, don't masturbate etc.)

Did you truthfully answer "no" while discretely pushing your box of collected Playboy and Penthouse magazines under the desk? ;-)

In a nutshell, it's none of their damn business. I would have just said: "Ask me the official questions. I will only answer the official questions, and no others. If you insist on asking sexually explicit questions, I'm going to have to contact my attorney, who will be filing a sexual harassment action against you and tscc. Anything else? Ok, ask me the official questions ONLY just like you know you are supposed to."

Asshats.

I thought something like this is included under the chastity question according to their definition of approved sex.

I was thinking they would go towards the same sex attraction theme by asking if you think you are attracted to the same sex and have you ever 1) held hands 2) kissed 3) been immoral with 4) lusted in your heart with someone of the same gender. This gets even more confusing if you are interviewing someone transgendered. Then you have to ask if 1) were you ever another gender 2) do you want to be another gender..... This could go on all day! Plus, asking these kinds of questions to 18 year old pre-missionaries who are worldly naive is even worse. I can just hear some potential missionary clueless about transgender having to have it explained by the bishop who is also just about as clueless.
