When you mix politics with spirituality, you get religion. Mormonism is heavy on politics. That defines it. You can't have hippy dippy Mormonism unless the political structure is hippy dippy. Nobody capable of producing positive change is allowed to rise within the church.

I didn't have my wilder years. I was the "perfect" little mormon girl. Many of my cousins were not. They were pretty "wild." Now they all go to the temple at least once a week, some are serving missions with their spouses, etc.
I CHOSE to leave. I didn't just slip up. I CHOSE to "sin." For some reason they all seem to think I really do want to go back deep down. NEVER.
