MacNeil was convicted of killing his wife in the bathtub in 2014. He was serving a life sentence before being found unresponsive in his cell.

May he rot in misery.

That was an interesting case to watch unfold, active former bishop, doctor, lawyer, father of eight and a murderer. I doubt he will have anyone at his funeral.

Wasn't this a subject of Dateline a few years ago?

He was also convicted of sexually molesting his daughter.

I hope Cerberus is gnawing off his genitals now.

If there's an afterlife w/judgment, may his be eternal damnation.

He also murdered his brother when they were teenagers by drowning him in a bathtub. He got away with it that time.

What a rat bastard sociopath.

He tried committing suicide in prison once before.

Maybe two times was the charm for him?

His son committed suicide after defending his father to his sisters, when he learned the truth.

Martin had no conscience or no remorse for his actions. He was only sorry he got caught.

when I was watching the news this morning. I had seen the story on Dateline, too. Good riddance. It is tragic the hell he put so many people through.

Hey, but at least he didn't drink coffee, right?

Wonder if Julie Beck will cry over him.

On a bright note, taxpayers no longer have to feed, clothe, house, and supervise him.

But will Joseph Smith let him into the CK with the proper handshake?

If he'd been exxed, they can dead dunk him and wash away his sins well enough to slip him into the CK through a back door.

Imagine all the people he raked over the coals as bishop.

I thought the church made Bad Men Good and Good Men even better?

Obviously yet another untrue faith promoting catch phrase.

Part of my family lived near him. I'm still looking for an actual location where he was bishop. It's probably true as it's been mentioned enough, but no ward seems to claim the guy as having been bishop.

The Stake President that called him as a Bishop was truly inspired by the Mormon God. Why does the name Satan come to mind?

The McNeills lived in Queens, NY in the 1980s for a year.
Martin came to church once that year. Michelle was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was a devoted mother and great teacher. I was shocked to see that Dateline show years later. Martin conned members in Queens so his lying had a long history.

This 'could've (and Does) happen to members of almost all faiths... but is it remarkably lower among some?

Buddhists, Amish, & Mennonites, for example?

Wow, I remember this scum bag. I remember this on the IFvhannel or that other channel. I didn't know it was him, until I licked the link. I forgot about the LDS part. I remembered the plastic surgery and all the pills he made her take. He didn't even get to serve anything , two years is nothing. He probably took the cowards way out. He was a doctor, so maybe he had access to pills to end it peacefully for himself.
