Aloha All,

It's been a while since I've posted.

Does anyone have info on Great Basin College in Nevada? It's pretty close to the Utah border. Does anyone has info that would be great.

Lots of Mormons?
Any diversity?
Is it as sleepy as it looks online?
Very isolated?

Mahalo for your time!

yes
no
yes
yes

It's Elko ,Nevada. If you want to live in northern Nevada why not Reno, NV, I've been here for the last 16 years, as for Reno:

yes, but way more nevermo's [24 hr. drinking, gambling ETC.]
a lot more than Elko
vibrant community [Tesla's here]
high desert on the California border, 9 world class ski resorts within a 30 min. to 1.5 hr. drive, lots more educational opportunities

I believe you can safely assume that if it is very close to the borders of Mormon land, then yes, there are lots of Mormons.

The name of that fellow or gal who dreamed up a name for a Nevada college like "Great Basin" will likely go down the drain forever.

A school called that conjures images of a swirling Elko desert loo.

Well, since Elko sits pretty much in the heart of the Great Basin, it's actually pretty appropriate.
