To think that church activity can be reduced to some funny plastic icons on a green felt bandelo.

Those green things actually used to mean something to us children.

Kirby has devalued them to devoid of meaning.

I like his sense of humor, assuming he's joking around.

As simpleton as Mormonism is, there's the very real possibility he's serious.

Ummm....would members object because it would interfere or downplay their church attire that I swear is the reason some folks attend church?

Yes, I have one of those--a cedar chest. All I ever wanted was to be married and be a mom. That worked out not so well and it definitely WAS NOT what I thought it would be.

Interesting what my mom saved and what she didn't. She got quite a few things right. Not sure if I needed the bandelo though. Hey, I should show it to my TBM daughter.

Robert is pretty secure in what he writes about and who he shoots arrows (or bowling balls) at. His wife has already left the church so they can pit her against him and he's happy as a clam doing what he does and being a Mormon on his own terms.
