I asked him if he was interested in accepting it. He says he would not say yes or no; he put it on indefinite "hold."

More than a decade, and they are still trying to get him back.

I'm not trying to influence him one way or the other. It's his choice. But I am irritated that they are trying to worm their way back into his life.

I started a firestorm in HP group meeting by asking rhetorically if my 12 year old autistic nephew should wait until he was able to understand the inherent responsibilities before he received the AP.
Wow! I got blasted. "He'll grow into his responsibilities!" etc., etc.
Then I threw gas on the fire. "Oh, so its just a social promotion". If looks could kill...
