Has a GA ever addressed an actual issue at GC?

I'm drawing a blank here, but besides the old hackneyed "milk strippings" story and "give Joseph a break" a few years back, I think the muckey-mucks are keeping their 10 foot Pole Of Plausible Deniability distance from actually standing up there and explaining, for example, why the BoM states that the New World was "kept as yet from the knowledge of other nations" when there were millions of people already living here, or why God reintroduced the New and Everlasting doctrine of polygamy, with specific instructions (and never explained how with a 50/50 male/female birthrate it could even work), and then let his prophet break almost every one of those instructions, and then gave a revelation to dump the whole thing in the 1890's.

No, instead they dance around it with "doubt your doubts"...
