Not any more than the Mormons can. Or any other church for that matter.

He has the right to free speech... what folks do with it is their problem.

I think he's a jerk but legally I don't think there's anything to be gone.

Freedom of religion.

Gees! What can't a church do? Seems like claiming to be a church is a license to steal, practice psychiatry, mislead, confiscate tithes, property, time, labor and your everlasting soul!

But the church does a lot of good too...

Religion the best kind of fraud to get in to, because no matter what happens you're legally protected from getting into trouble for scamming people.

total ignorance here on my part.

my understanding was that he depleted his fortune on this.

did he not lose buttloads of his grandkid's inheritance?

oh, and one more question.

So, what's the point of being right about the the Rapture?

if it happens, then who gives a shit about whether you were right or wrong?

It's the fucking Rapture. There's no brownie points in Heaven. and the other poor fucks, s'not like you'll ever have a chance to gloat. You'll never see them again.

And you're supposed to be above all that, anyway.

So what's the point of predicting Judgement Day?

If you're wrong, then fuck me.

If you're right, then you're just fucking tacky.
