When good men do nothing.

Evil doesn't know it's evil. Just look at the q15.

So take a look at a clip where a good man does something.

We ramble on about "evil" but the thing needs occasional graphic reminders.

Funny you should bring this up.

I'm listening to a documentary in which an FBI profiler described evil as a spiritual term, which has no legal or behavioral meaning, [best to be avoided].

I agree, somewhat. I use the term as a substitute for "psychopathic," which tends to evoke a questioning of my credentials, as if only a doctor has the capability to grasp and assess the elements and effects of behaviors. Rather than devolve into an authority-driven non-argument, I use the "spiritual" term.

To relate this to TSCC behaviors, it is too simplistic to describe the leaders as evil. I think we can look at the results of their behaviors, the obvious lies, manipulations of facts and texts, their absolute gluttony for money and power, and safely call them psychopathic.

Are those whom would "only" cooperate with a psycopathic power structure to be considered as truly psychopathic themselves?

Does it matter? They are the enforcers, the ones who make sure that the pain and suffering inflicted by the original psychopath continues, that his pschopathic behaviors are propagated.

If we think of world or cult leaders who have inflicted great harm, we can see cults of people who continue to follow those teachings, and we call those people crazy and evil. We know that TBMs are "pass-through" liars, and as a result, inflict pain and suffering. Would we call them psycopathic in their beliefs? In their behaviors? They are the ones lending power to those leaders. They forsake internal morality to the identical degree to which they cooperate without question.

I know a TBM who deeply believes that had MR been elected, the world would now be at peace, because moism demands freedom of agency. Oh, boy. There's too many aspects of that delusion to discuss. I don't know if delusion is a valid defense, but I believe that that thinking, that willful ignorance of reality, is based in evil.

They can close their eyes and follow the dear leader, but history will not treat them kindly for doing so.

They will be called evil, like the others, who were followers of lies. Their level of evil will be equal to the pain and suffering that they inflicted, both on individuals and on masses of individuals.

And now that I think about it, I can't think of one evil leader who didn't lie to his or her followers.

Evil is purposely harming others, not feeling bad about it, and continuing to do it.

Brain washing and indoctrinating young minds. Claiming your selfish purposes and actions are the will of some God. Cults.

It's a good word to describe all kinds of destructive behavior. It's not a legal term, more of a religious term, but it's one that people can grasp quite easily as it's the opposite of good, righteous, moral, ethical and probably another 40 terms!

Whatever we as both individuals and groups decide it is.

What is *isn't* is an objective "thing."

Just a concept. And an entirely subjective one.
