This time in the Midwest. Downtown Indy ward closed and assimilated into three suburban wards. Of course it was all portrayed as the church moving forward.
I take the closing of church units with a grain of salt. Often they just about demographic shifts. Mormons move from here to there -- usually farther out into the 'burbs. Or back to Zion.

I'm pretty sure that the Preston/Chorley temple in England was also working to an appointment only schedule, within a couple of years of opening.
I definitely remember announcements in my branch, practically demanding that we used it more, as some sessions were going ahead with just a handful of temple workers.
Maybe the British isles didn't really need a second temple after all?

They were even considering building a 3rd temple in the UK in the late 90's. They were scouting for land around Edinburgh to build a Scottish Temple.
