Holy cow!! I loved Steely Dan. Donald Fagan's solo album and their greatest hits are on my iPod. Gonna play them both today. Just wow...Are we getting old or what.

I'm a long time fan. I have "Can't Buy a Thrill" and "Aja" on CD and "Gaucho" and "Everything Must Go" on surround sound discs. All great music, and there's so much more I don't have.

My first Steely Dan album was "Aja." Wore the grooves off that vinyl. So many fantastic songs by those guys. Their music will live forever...

When I was in college, I was about the same age as one of my professors (i.e. 30 years old SMDH). I do not know how or why the subject of Steely Dan came up in a comparative politics class. All I know is that the professor asked me to tell the class what a steely dan is.

I just stared at him.

He thought it was a roach clip.

I don't think a steely dan is a roach clip.
