What is there to do in Rexburg tonight? I drove past my old apartment and the temple already. Any ideas? Is there an exmo group that wants to go out to dinner? Thanks.
I used to go to the Star Palace, but that was back in 1980. It was the only happening place in town.
During my second and last semester (I couldn't take anymore than that) at Ricks, living in an apartment with three other women, My roommates and I were put on probation for two weeks with a bed check at 10 PM - yes, a woman assigned from Ricks came into my bedroom to actually make sure I was in my bed at 10 PM. What did we do that was so horrible? We had two male students in our apartment past midnight! We were all in the living room just talking. It was winter so we were all bundled up in winter clothes - no one was wearing or doing anything that was "inappropriate." The apartment manager, who patrolled the property at night (trying to catch anyone from sneaking in/out of our prison apartment) pounded on our door. When we opened the door and he saw the two men sitting on the couch he said to the females present: "I would be surprised if you were still intact." Yes, he referred to our virginity as being "intact." I should have slugged him.
Sorry I got off on that tangent... Whenever I hear Rexburg I remember my time as a prisoner there.
Face it, there is nothing to do in Rexburg in the evening...nor in the day for that matter. Take it as an opportunity to catch up on sleep with an early night and get out of town early tomorrow.
My dorm (Ensign Hall) is an office building now and there was no temple in 1967. Is there even a bar or pub in that shithole where you can sit and enjoy a pint?
Oh man rexburg is worse than pocatello in my book you are really out of luck. Everything might be closed past eight except maybe a walmart try going to walmart that is as exciting as its going to get. Sorry man its one of the most boring towns i have ever been in.
West Yellowstone really isn't that far and Island Park is closer.
You could go visit my "ex's" sister and brother. Ha ha ha. Brother would be much funner to visit. His sister is a hypochondriac crazy mormon. His brother has been out since his teens.
When I was there, same years as LR, the Queens Row (women's) apts was shaking off the name Studs Row after it was determined some residents were 'working' their way thru college (and, thru guy's pants)!
On Second thought, best stick with WalMart; my co-cops at the ISP detachment in I.F. are all retired now, btw

It's all about the near-by outdoor life if you're in Rexburg. There are many hiking trials up in the forest that are very close, Mesa Falls, Moody Creek, great golf courses that are wide open on Sunday. If you stay in town, go up to BYU-I's garden above the stadium. It has beautiful streams, flowers, and pathways through it.
