Don, is this a mormon question or a Trump question?

Trump didn't have himself declared king. We have only ourselves to face palm.

The question was "dreams of living in a kingdom" I'm betting that's Trump's #1 wet dream.

I wondered, too, and saw only size as a difference.

But I agree with both ideas.

And, I think one answer is, "the insecure." There has got to be a greener pasture somewhere, some escape from not being numero uno.

A megalomaniac like Joseph Smith.

And don't forget Brigham Young.

This was on my "Reasons I don't need the Church" list. I don't want to spend eternity with people who think that to "rule and reign in the house of Israel forever" is a good thing.

I agree all that is a turn off for the badass. The whole becoming a god thing as well, just think about it who the hell really wants that position.

In my youth, knowing that I wasn't 'ghawd' material, I was content with being a servant, as long as I got a white horse and a bitchin' sword.

The idea of a kingdom ruled by a benevolent ruler seems to be a desire handed down through the ages. Problem is that "benevolence" and "ruling" never seem to go hand in hand. I cannot even imagine it working in that fictional realm called Heaven.

It's Mormon.

Yeah, that's a real problem for TSCC--while the bible is full of kingy stuff because ...well...kings and stuff, the "All American" church still has to default to the royal stuff.

I mean, who voted to sustain God?

Castles in the sky, the weird mormon dream.

You made me laugh. The whole Kingdom thing is really "Disney" when you think about it. And in this case, not even a nice fairy tale.

Since that Trump and that Pence (with the sly Himmler smile) were elected, I have been trying desperately to live in a kingdom. I have been to see the British Consul in Chicago three times, seeking immigration, but he tells me I'm too old to contribute to society and that I would be a burden on the British taxpayer.

I'm afraid he's right, but I still want to live in a Kingdom which does not (yet) elect lunatics to high office.

I am a gay jerk American who wants to live in a kingdom.

England is a constitutional monarchy. Not what I had in mind.
