Ole Joey missed his chance with that money-making frog/toad.

He just wasn't quick enough with a revelation to help him and that slippery amphibian hopped away to live happily ever after as a wealthy singing star (or prince if you like the Disney refrain better)/

That was the origin of the idea for the salamander in Mark
Hofmann's notorious "Salamander letter." He took small corners
of Mormon history and expanded on them so his creations would fit
the known narrative, but still be "bombshells" that the Church
would pay to hide.
