I find it highly annoying and yes, you are preaching.

What I like about this is that at least these TBMs know others are going to take offense when they push their Mormonism. The disclaimer is an admission of this but in the end nothing is going to stop them because Mormon Arrogance/Ignorance.

This is the same as when people say, " I don' mean to be offensive, but . . . " then say something highly offensive, counting on the disclaimer to let them get away with the jerky behavior.
