In Utah here, it was a news story..various church leaders going to Calif to "survey the damage" and meet with the victims..

My first thought was why? and who cares??

I haven'y heard if a mormon temple got caught in this or not..

I don't know how to find it, but they interviewed that bishop and his wife, talked about how they opened up the church to evacuees and interviewed a non-member (allegedly) who was staying there. I say allegedly because she referred to it as "the church" as in "I'm not a member of THE CHURCH, but they took me in anyway" blah blah blah. I don't know of many people who refer to it as "the church" who are NOT mormons. Call me a skeptic.
