Loud Laughter

One of the temple covenants that always confused me was abstaining from loud laughter. It's also one of the the things that I ignored, even when I was trying to be a good Matt Morg. If I felt like laughing, I'm going to laugh long and loud.

Does anybody know the reasoning behind this? Was the person behind this high and hated laughter?

I have never done the temple thing but it explains A LOT about the behavior of people around me. I like to try to be funny even when i am not funny because everyone was more serious then me and it cracked me up but now i understand after learning the temple thing. My true personality wants to be funny and that is why i did not fit well in the soul crushing morg.
