Wow... I was just baptized along with my wife. The bishop is off his rocker. He thinks he is Jesus. He is mentally unstable.

We are leaving the church,

I agree. Let's have the Paul Harvey 'rest of the story.'

Be prepared for love-bombing, missionary visits, and various enducements to reenlist. They don't give up easy, especially a married couple. More so if you have a good income and children. There have been plenty of threads on that matter, if you care to poke around.

Be prepared to be emphatic in telling them where to get off.

I'm glad that you are leaving already. This will save you a lot of grief in the future.

Wait, the Bishop is considered the Father of the ward, he will tell you when you can leave, he will tell you if your children are worthy and he will tell you IF you can and when you can go to the temple to help the dead and gone. See he is not mental at all...THE ENTIRE CHURCH IS MENTAL...haaa

So the bishop is crazy, but do you still believe in the bom? If so, they'll find a way to reunite 10% of your income with their tithing account.

Unfortunately, since you were both baptized, you will both need to formally resign in order to get the church off of your back. Complete directions for how to do so can be found at the link below. You can resign via email:

http://www.exmormon.org/remove.htm

And no, you shouldn't *need* to resign, but trust us, it's the best way to go.

We were in his office yesterday, and the guy flew off the handle. We both work, and our attendance wasn't good enough. We are fun-loving people and were enjoying the social aspects of the church. We were spending copious amounts of time on our callings (monetarily also).

No matter what we did and accomplished, we weren't good enough.

There is only so much blood that can be extracted.

We're done.

If it were all true, you'd be sticking being mormon FOREVER!

But it isn't.

The missionaries left a lot of stuff out of their lessons, didn’t they?

Thankfully, we haven't gone to the temple yet. The church is a disaster. Do all the wards have JesusBishops?

The bishop and his wife were the bat sh*t crazy ones in the last ward I attended prior to resigning.

Not before they wreaked all kinds of havoc on me and my family.

Good riddance!

Get out while you still can before they can do you any further harm.

Good for you.Mormonism has no authority over you.

Top leadership in this "church is definitely crazy - all they want are money and free work from you.
Their demands are based on the Book of Mormon which has already been shown to be a fraud by DNA results.

It's great that you saw through the Mormon deception so quickly.

Mormons are the best anti-Mormons ever!

Now just wait 'til they start blaming YOU for being offended…
