Although it's got terrible reviews even on deseret book, isn't this similar to the Mormon church club that they try to club is exmos with?

So very Mormon of Wendy, and such a very dangerous thing to teach children.

As a teacher, it really bothers me when every Tom, Dick, Harry, and Wendy thinks that they are a budding children's author. There is just too much quality children's literature out there to accept junk.

have to write a children's book. I find it ridiculous.

I guess I have a hard time following a woman who has never had children somehow being such an expert that she can write a book about it. I don't see and Roman Catholic priests writing books about marriage or having children

You're not looking very hard. There are hundreds of such books. Here's one:

Well isn't that just great. The childless polygamist wife of the Mormon prophet has written a prequel to "The Licked Cupcake".

Russell was 80+ when they got married. She's probably in the Not Even Once club herself.

She's from the Mormon shithole backwater of Raymond, Alberta, Canada. No surprise.

Now Ron, you be kind to Raymond. People won't like such a comment. The would frown heavily upon you! LOL!

No Ron is correct. Having lived most my life in Southern Alberta, Raymond is a backwater shithole.

The reviews are blasting it.

And, yeah, why does every idiot with a little name recognition think that they need to write a children's book?

I really like the racially inclusive illustration to include not only Caucasian, but also African, Asian, and Hispanic. Wow Wendy you're very racially sensitive and inclusive these days. To bad the Q15 are as inclusive are you are. Isn't it about time to ordain a African, Polynesian, Asian, or Hispanic apostle, like your book? I suppose if we ask your beloved hubby about the prospects of this potentiality he would most likely say, (drumb roll)..."Not even once Wendy."

Thank you thank you, I'll be preforming on Sunday afternoons near my van down by the river.

All the advice on motherhood, and now this book from someone who has never been a mother?

Even more disturbing, she's a very experienced relationship counselor. I wonder how many marriages she broke up spewing crap like this?

The woman has a PhD in psychology but still follows the churchco line even when it goes against what mainstream psychology teaches. I can't find where she got her degree. I guess probably BYU?

Wow, I want to join a club dedicated to not doing stuff. I can
just look forward to all the cool club meetings where we get
together and don't do stuff. Neato!

Had she written the "Not Even Once Club" book 50 years ago it
would have been about how the black kid won't get into the LDS
temple "not even once."

"Children will meet Tyler, an energetic boy who is excited to make new friends in his Primary class. They have invited Tyler to join their special club, but first he has to pass the test and keep the club promise."

Wow! How very apropos for the house of secret handshakes!

Previously she was a marriage counselor, when she had never been married.

She is obviously milking her "fame" as being President's wife.

LOL! In your title, Mike, I thought you meant that "Not even once" is the number of times you are going to read this book.

Mormon Expression did a whole podcast about this book once.

There was this bit in the book about the evils of "delicious tea." It's been a wonderful inside joke between my wife and me ever since.

I think it describes President Nelson's sex life (or lack of one): the "Not even once" club.

Such a far cry from some guy named Jesus, who said he welcomed anybody at any stage of their spiritual journey.

This book teaches exclusion. Exclusion Mormon style. It is a primer for teaching young Mormons how to exile and shun family members so when they are older they will be expert. The message is to get 'em while they are young and malleable and can be trained from an early age the Mormon art of splitting families and becoming expert at imperious judging.

Did she ever finish writing her cookbook?

I think it was called "How to boil your husband's head when you're out of eggs"

Is she suggesting that she never has sinned? If she has, is she holding children to a higher standard, then she herself has achieved? What about children being innocent until the age of 8?
