"Let There Be Light" PMF-5019: The WWII PSTD Film

This is a very interesting film directed by John Huston.

Instead of a clinical documentary, the film is presented in an inspirational religious manner. The hospital is a temple. The doctors are like the Apostles who miraculously heal the broken men as if they were casting out their demons.

The film lasts about an hour.

Make sure you have time to watch as you will want to watch until end.

...thank you for posting this. As I understand it, this was a suppressed film. The return of US GI's after WWII, and the public's perception of our American heroes, was not the reality that the War Dept. experienced at the end of WWII. This was true PTSD, or, as named at the time, "shell shock" or "battle fatigue".
I had three uncles who fought from Normandy to Italy to Africa. Yes, there were problems.........thanks!
