Cub babbled his approval, I think.

But Eli watched the whole thing in silence & awe. And then he asked to watch CARS3.

I watched the Rome concert while in Rio de Janiero. The TV was a small black and white, and very fuzzy, but the music was as historic an event as I ever experienced. When I got home, I bought the CD, and much later, the DVD. Music, to me, is proof that God wants us to be spoiled rotten. Delectable foods are evidence that He desires us to be obese. The more I see how life abuses us, the more I think He just might be surprised if ever He takes holds an election.

Bocelli is great, but Pavarotti, no matter how long he has been gone from this planet, will always own "Nessun Dorma."

NOBODY ever did Nessun Dorma better than Maestro Pavarotti.

I always found it touching that Bocelli, in the 15 or so years that I have been a fan, (he inspired me to study Italian) ALWAYS made a point of referring to Pavarotti as "Il Maestro."

Remember the KIA Superbowl ad from 2014 where Morpheus from the Matrix sings it? Obviously that wasn't Laurence Fishburne singing, the voice was a high school buddy of mine who sadly died a couple weeks ago from cancer. But man he could sing!
