Layton is in Davis County. It will be the second temple there after Bountiful.

Guess What !

LD$ inc is only pretending to build new MORmON secret handshake palaces AKA MORmON temples in order to attempt to maintain appearances to appease their faith FOOL MORmON members. Because the temples that LD$ inc already has in operation are already grossly under utilized and that situation is ONLY going to get more acute /aggravated ......as well as the fact that LD$ inc is currently going out of business faster than K Mart.

So actual progress on actually building new temples is proceeding very slowly. At this point, it is mostly about presenting the Intent to build some more temples.

Layton - oh dear this will only hasten my exodus from the state. What will this be - number 18 for Utard? Ogden doesn't run at capacity and neither does Bountiful from what I understand. There must be potential tithing money in the Layton, Kaysville, Roy area hence yet another revenue center for ChurchCo at the expense of the taxpayers.

Layton, Utah

As world headquarters of The Church of Jesus of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Utah has 2.1 million members of the Church in a state of 3.1 million people. There are 17 operating temples in Utah, including Bountiful, Brigham City, Cedar City, Draper, Logan, Jordan River, Manti, Monticello, Mount Timpanogos, Ogden, Oquirrh Mountain, Payson, Provo City Center, Provo, St. George, Salt Lake and Vernal. The Jordan River Temple has completed extensive interior renovation and is scheduled for rededication on May 20, 2018. The Saratoga Springs Temple was announced at the April 2017 general conference. The Layton Utah Temple will be the 19th in Utah.

I can't believe that the church is building *yet another* temple in Utah. India and Russia have got to be a joke. There can hardly be any members in either country. Richmond, VA might make sense in terms of being reasonably far from the Washington, D.C. temple.

Salta, Argentina
Bengaluru, India
Managua, Nicaragua
Cagayan de Oro, Philippines

Russia has banned Scientology and Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia and the Russian Orthodox church is becoming much more powerful under Putin. I don't believe for a minute that there will be a temple in Russia where people do secret ceremonies.
